Most of our boxes never touch the hands of the person who bought them. That is what the whole thing is built around.
The card
Written by hand, not printed
Up to 250 characters
Roughly three lines on a letterpress card. Longer than that and the handwriting stops being legible, which defeats the point.
We write it as you type it
Punctuation and all. We will quietly fix an obvious typo in a name, and leave everything else exactly as you wrote it.
Nothing else goes in
No invoice, no receipt, no pricing on the outside of the parcel. The card is the only paper in the box.
Delivery
Getting it there
- Free Australia-wide, on the box and on every piece.
- Everything is on pre-order for now, and leaves Melbourne from 1 December. After that, an order placed before 2pm on a weekday leaves the same afternoon.
- Metro capitals: two to four working days. Regional: up to eight.
- Sending it to a workplace is fine — tell us the company name in the address and we will put it on the label rather than on the card.
- We do not ship outside Australia yet. If you ask, we will tell you honestly when that changes rather than take the order.
Returns
If it is not right
- Unopened boxes: 30 days, refunded in full, return postage on us.
- Opened boxes cannot be resold, so we cannot take those back — but if something arrives damaged or a piece is missing, we replace the whole box, not the piece.
- Wrong address, or you changed your mind before it went out? Email within an hour and we will catch it on the packing bench.
- Faults are covered under Australian Consumer Law whatever the timeframe, and those rights sit above anything written on this page.
Where this is going
One box first, occasions later
There is one box because we would rather do one thing properly than seven things adequately. Boxes for Mum, for the burnt-out friend, for birthdays, new mums, new homes and thinking-of-you are coming, one at a time, as each one earns its place. The email list is where we say so first.
More than one
Sending several
Different messages, different people
Each box is its own pre-order, so it keeps its own message and its own ribbon. Place one pre-order per person, with their address at checkout, and each ships separately.
Ten or more
Email us before you order. We will confirm we can pack them in the timeframe you need, and for a run that size we can leave the ribbon off and use a plain band if the boxes are going out under a company name.
